Western Pacific 12096

This was a surprising discovery today in Charlotte. The only patching that has been done was by a tagger.

This series of covered hoppers was built for the WP by FMC in 1980 ,according to the WP Freight Cars Page

Here's another WP, with the old style tagging (chalk, instead of paint), in another Charlotte (western NY). December 1973 on a PC local drawn by F7's... see if you can spot Kilroy.

A week or so later (Jan 1974), on the yard lead in Rochester NY, boxcars from PRR, NH, and CNJ:

"he made the freight train boogie all the time..."

"Kilroy" is always entertaining to see. The Zimmerman pictures are a please to see.
